When I did that, the other mother paid me an extra $15/hr. My employers trusted my judgement, and knew I'd make it a plus for their child.

Did you tell your real boss right away that you were being paid to watch other kid while being paid to care for real boss' children?

Nanny would not have to tell her because I would do so. Why are you putting your nanny in this awkward situation? Have some guts, pick up phone, call friend and tell her that your nanny has her hands full with your children and is unable to help her and in future, do not ask nanny.
