Funny thing happened last week. Grandma came over to play with my four year old charge. He told her she was the puppy, and then proceed to tie a rope around her neck, with her help. She actually allowed him to pull her around on the floor! What do you all think about that?

Why wouldn't you do it seeing it's part of playtime with the child?

Bc I don’t want a rope tied around my neck and to be dragged around on all fours. I would instead say “oh that sounds like fun but let’s do it with these toys instead so we can each have a puppy.” I would then show them how to make leashes on their stuffed animals and pretend we each had a puppy to drag around. I would ask what we should name them, where we are going to show off our new puppies, etc. You want a rope pulling around your neck more power to you. Like I said, to each their own.

Ask Grandma.

No one expects Grandma to be the professional, but the nanny should know better. Most nannies here sound more like babysitters who don't know much more than Grandma.
