| We got an au spit when I was 8 months pregnant with my 3rd. It was great. I was able to get her settled in and got her license the first month, and got to know the older kids. Then, once the baby was here, I was on maternity leave for 4 months so she mostly helped with the older 2 but also was around to hold the baby when I needed to shower, etc. or jos the baby when I did bedtime with the older 2. By the time I went back to work she was super comfortable with the baby so everything went well. |
| The au pair that we had starting two months before our twins were born was better than ANY professional nanny we could have asked for. She didn't have twins experience, but, neither did we! She was with them from the day we brought them home and got to learn and grow with them. Plus! She took care of our older child while we were in the hospital. Also, they can't be alone with the babies until they are 3 months old, so it was perfect having her around as a mother's helper while I was on leave. |
