They’re not paying me OT. |
This is inconsistent with your previous post. And nannies are hourly and paid OT over 40 hours. Are you paid legally? |
Oops sorry I mean they are but it’s not so much about the money for me. |
I meant they are. I am paid legally. I am on payroll |
I was specifically asking about the above poster that I quoted, not your thread. Sorry for the confusion. |
| Op here, and yes I see that now. I misread your comment |
| It is two weeks, OP, not a big deal. And travel coverage is usually one of the reasons a couple will choose a nanny over daycare. I have done it and will do it again, I'm sure. The money is good and it builds goodwill with your employers. |
Umm no. I got a nice refund this year!! Yay me!! |
|
If you don’t feel comfortable, op, don’t do it. Those are extremely long hours with only one day off! Personally, I’d be torn because on the one hand, no thank you to all those hours and with a difficult child to boot, but on the other hand, so much money!
I don’t know, I might be tempted to tough it out for a couple weeks for that payoff. |
| It breaks my heart that you refer to the older one as a nightmare! |
Well, it’s true. If it was adult I was talking about your heart wouldn’t be broken. |
I can do all 14 hours maybe once or twice a week but not for two weeks straight. I would lose my mind! |
| That's a lot of time, but the OT is also a lot of money! I wouldn't turn that down. |
I’m right there with you. It would be tempting because of the money, like I said, but truthfully sometimes I already lose my mind just working a regular 8 hour day! I don’t blame you for not wanting to. |
| 14 hour days is too long. Say no. |
