+1 I am a nanny and I agree. I always arrive early because I always have to use the bathroom after my commute. I am ready to start work on time. |
| Ugh, OP - I have been there. It is awful recommending someone for a job who turns out to be a loser. |
Some parents want a more relaxed "settling in" transition period. |
Still the nanny needs to be on time for the relaxed transition period. |
Disagree. I’ve had several positions for which I had to hit the ground running. Start time was start time, not time to chitchat, use the bathroom, or make myself something to eat/drink. I was on time because I was doing all of that 5-15 minutes prior, that way I was ready to either wake the kids or do hand off. |
What are you disagreeing with? PP never said anything you could possibly disagree with! She was saying exactly what you said - start time is start time. No excuse to be late. |
What so you disagree with, PP? I wrote "late is late". |
See the bolded. |
So you are that much of a dick or your employers are that much of a dick? |
