Maybe you can say, Mary, I'm trying to teach Larla to say (know) please and thank you, I think we should all say it for her frequently, so she will learn.

or other phrases "How are you?" "Good morning" "Nice to see you"

Make it a game in the guise of teaching the children good manners.
