Ok here is quiestion do you think can I talk with them about federal holidays? We are still in January. They hired me on sep 2016. They gave me raise on Sep 2027. I had to ask for raise.
Do you think can I talk with them now? We are still in the beginning of the year. Thanks |
| You can always talk to anyone about anything. They can always say no. |

Yes! At least try to get the holidays they get off. That might not mean ALL federal holidays but sometimes the day after Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve is more useful than one of the Monday holidays, etc.

Op here the give me off on Christmas and day after thanksgiving. Since they were traveling.
Do nannies get off all federal holidays ? They are off every day. Wife don’t work and husband work from home. Some time he has class in evening. Thanks |
| There is no standard in this industry bc the parents have a variety of jobs with a variety of requirements. Personally, I receive paid holidays and OT pay if I happen to work, which only happens if I’m traveling with the family. Maybe write an email so that you can formulate the words properly and get someone to help you edit the email, as well as to not put them on the spot. It doesn’t hurt to ask. Some positions are more professional than others and you work your way up to that. |
