You are letting them take advantage of you and that's not good either. Plus, they are not even appreciative? They don't even view you as some sort of family member, but an obligatory free worker.

OP here. I know. I don't do it for the parents I do it for the child. I am not a family member nor a friend to the parents. But I love their child. They aren't "taking advantage " - I am giving them the advantage.

It's okay. This is my decision and I (right now) want to spend those five hours a week with my former charge.
