Not getting NKs any gifts for Holidays RSS feed

I might get them a book from the dollar store but that's all.

Doesn't sound like they need anything and probably wouldn't notice anyway. OK to pass. If you decide you should give them something, make it a $10 gift card for ice cream or something like that. But...don't feel obligated. They probably won't give you anything either.

I’ve been with current NF for 7 months and did a book for Birthdays and they were terribly ungrateful. Over the past 7 months I realized both kids (7 and 9) are spoiled, entitled and very ungrateful. They have rooms and playrooms overflowing with toys but demand more... and show little to no appreciation.

I do not want to give them anything, and don’t think they really deserve a gift from me. I also don’t want to stir up issues by not getting my Nks a gift. Any other nannies not do gifts? Is it required?

First, they are CHARGES not "nanny kids".

Second, no - I have always given gifts to my charges. It is customary.

Third, with such little regard or affection for your charges - you should leave the position.

Oh please, nanny kids is fine. Get that stick out of your ass.

Wow, you are so professional! (snark)

Wow, how embarrassing for you, PP. Do you speak that crudely in front of your poor children? So low class. NP here and I would think you would know better at your age.

I agree. Knowing that posters here are normally either parents or nannies of young children, I cringe when I read the comments that are crude or political attacks. Not helpful!

Charges or nanny kids, makes no difference--they are spoiled brats.
