MBs - would this trouble you or am I overreacting?

No you have to be the one kidding. Responsibility? The nannys responsibility is to provide care for the kids not keep and eye on cleaning people & get in the middle of dramas. It's the mbs responsibility to replace her cleaning company the first time she realized that they will
do whatever they want despite her making her wishes clear. She said they had done this 2 times before and she didn't get rid of them so what difference does it make if the nanny involved herself after seeing her employer is an obvious pushover and now stirring over such a non issue so badly that she had to run here with all of this talk of "loyalty" etc? Lol this lady needs to get a life. In fact I would love for her to bring it up to the nanny and show her crazy a$$ so the nanny would see the lunacy and start looking for another position.

Op, please have a talk with your nanny about her disloyalty and taking sides with people because they are "from the same country". I'd love to be a fly on the wall for that!

You misunderstood the use of the word responsibility here.

please do explain how so? And did you mean I misunderstood or misused? Maybe you should go back to school? Nannys are responsible for the kids, not watching and snitching on cleaning people working in other's homes, that's the MBs responsibility.

Pp here and also to 2:35 I think the person I was responding to misused the word responsibility. They meant loyalty that's why I clarified what a nanny is responsible for.

MB here. If DC's nanny saw the cleaners had used a product that she knew they were not supposed to and was harmful to DC, she would tell me. It is not her "job" to supervise the cleaners, but it is part of her job description to keep my child safe. If she sees that there is a loose screw somewhere that DC might swallow or one of our neighbors acts "funny" to DC, I expect her to tell me. I do not expect her to follow the cleaners around and know everything they are up to, but to the extent that she DOES KNOW, then yes, I would want her to tell me. In this situation where she didn't tell OP about the bleach until a week later? I would not be upset that she didn't tell me sooner, but I would ask her why she did not. I would make it an opportunity for us to get on the same page about our expectations of each other.
