I wish I could afford a BR. With my 5'1 frame, a 40d is just too much to handle. I've been getting back pain lately and every top I wear is just too tight. M dreading when I will get preg and have kids.

It wouldn't be fair to your family to have to pay her for something like this.

It's not elective in this case- medical reasons.

Give me a break. Not elective my ass. I have 36 k's and I'm not having elective surgery becuae my back hurts. Yes my back hurts I suck it up because that's the cards life dealt me. I would never even think of doing this to my nf. This is something you do when you are unemployed.

Does that theory apply to all professions or just nannies?

My question is she won't be able to lift for a while after and how do we deal with her recovery time? Do we pay her in full? Use up her vacation? I'd like to work something out as the procedure is pricey but my husband thinks it will be a lot longer time off than we anticipate.

I am so Glad she's not going fraternity clinic thats for sure .Not bring other human being in her life she doesn't taking care of well. of course you have to pay her full . If I'm not making mistake she work for you dear...you must be around 40s you not comfortable with yourself !!! The reason I'm asking because you're not sure that with you have to pay or not she must be look good you have to !!!

I have all kinds of "medical" issues my doctors recommend I get surgery for but I don't because I have a job. A real job. And I still won't do them. If your nanny is electing to do something as silly as a breast reduction (and why would you hire someone with such an obvious issue in the first place you should ask yourself) then she would be lucky and blessed to keep her job at best. Don't pay her a dime.

What a ridiculous bubble you live in.

Breast reduction is paid for by insurance because IT IS NECESSARY AND IS NOT COSMETIC OR ELECTIVE.

This is incomprehensible rambling.

You are insane if you consider paying her to recover from elective cosmetic surgery, or any surgery at all. Needed or not, it's not your responsibility.

Cruella Devil has spoken. You are one sorrysorryexcuse of a human being.

You are nuts. This is a household employee. Many households cannot afford to pay the nanny to be off for an extended time for a surgery like this, elective or not. OP, do th best you can; if you have to find a new nanny, then so be it. But you don't have to go out of pocket for this one more than you can afford to.
