| I am very loving with my charge but when I tell her how much I care about her she says, "I don't care about you." When I tell her I'll miss her (over the weekend) she says she won't miss me. It's a little hard to love someone who seems to not care/have distain about you. |
| No. He is a cool kid but thats not love. |
Stop telling her. |
What do you mean? |
I believe that Americans use word "love" way too often (I'm European). I care about my charge, I keep him happy, safe, fool, rest all day. I don't think about him when I am not with him, I don't miss him when I am not with him. I'm always happy to see him but that's all. I have my own child and that's a true love. |
| I meant full lol |
| You may believe we use the word too often, but that doesn't diminish the genuine love some of us feel. Unlike you, I did miss my charges when I stopped working for them. I have a "family name" the children call me, just like their bio aunts and uncles. I didn't love all of my charges - just these two and one other - but it is "a true love." Disclaimer: No I do not think it resembles parental love; it is more comparable to loving a niece or your BFF's son. |
I understand what you are saying however I do truly love my charge by all measures. I do think about him when I am not with him and always start missing him on Sunday afternoon! I have my own child as well but she is grown. |
| MB here some of you sound scary and i would NOT leave my child with someone who thinks and miss my kid. Sorry! |
| I've loved SOME of my charges . |
You're cold hearted |
Why? |
+1 This sums it up for me as well. Usually the ones I am their with from birth. |
Another MB here and I find your statement so very strange. I want the best for my child and the best is someone who is devoted to him and wants what is best for him. Yes, I am sure that involves missing him and thinking about him when she is not with him. How could it not? |
| I've loved some of my charges and liked most of them. |
