Lies about her name. I didnt find out her legal name until the lawn guy was suing her for not paying for his services.
Wears yoga pants, smokey eyeshadow, and clogs...TOGETHER. Has a malnourished child Has a nanny and an aupair but is a STAY AT HOME MOM. This woman caused me so much stress that when I finally blew up the stuff that I said shocked even me. |
Um - the only thing that you have any business commenting on here is the nourishment of the child. But your other statements call into question the veracity of the "malnourishment" allegation. It isn't your place to judge your boss' attire, choices about childcare (she paid you right?) or whether or not she changed her name when she got married or whatever... |
+1 Who cares if she didn't tell you her "legal" name. I go by something that in no way resembles what is on my driver's license and it is my prerogative. You just sound like an immature brat. |

I was babysitting for a new family one evening. The mother asked me to make her 7 y/o daughter a grilled cheese for dinner using her Frozen (the movie) themed panini press.
I made the sandwich, only it was difficult to make out Olaf's face. The little girl threw an epic fit and told me that I'd have to make another sandwich for her, as she just couldn't consume a sandwich with a questionable Olaf. I refused. 5 minutes later, she came out of the bathroom and told me that her mother would be calling me. She then proceeded to tell me that her mother leaves a secret cell phone for her because "all of my babysitters have been really, really mean." I now know that "really, really mean" is code for "refuses to take my s**t." The mother told me that I should just make her a new sandwich because "it's easier to give her what she wants than to deal with her whining." I flat out refused and told her she needed to come home. They came home and I walked out. I won't be a doormat for anyone, especially a child. |
Kudos to you, my friend. |
I've had the same thing happen, only it was a live-in position and the interview (5 minutes!) was over the phone, not even skype! No background check, no reference check, nada. |
Oh. My. God. Good for you. I'd be so angry about the secret cell phone! Can't imagine I'd have had the courage to tell the parent to come home but I applaud that you did! |
