Mb here. I don't care what you wear as long as it doesn't impact you taking care of the kids. Bandeau top? Cute but probably best saved for time off. Same with anything where you are worried something might pop out. Sadly i have first hand experience with that!

As for the whole modesty issue, if you have a good body no bathing suit will hide that, especially once wet. I'd feel awful if their nanny went out and bought a whole new arsenal of bathing suits because she thought we'd be put off by bikinis

In this case, the consensus seems to be that a one piece, tankini, or t-shirt over your bikini is the appropriate attire. Good for you for thinking about it and asking for opinions.

Well said.

mb here....side not. I would recommend not wearing a t shirt. i was swimming with my niece last year and I had a tshirt on. She started freaking out and began pulling on the t shirt, which pulled me down. I had to pry her fingers off while remaining afloat. I've had to rescue a drowning victim before who was clutching my neck and the t shirt experience was far scarier.

I'm at the pool with my charges during the summer and always wear tankinis. It covers like a one piece but it's more practical during bathroom breaks and such.
My bosses were with us at the pool before and didn't say anything so I assume it works.
