You absolutely can. Please be up front with nanny about wanting full time preschool. That will limit your candidates and possibly increase the cost, but it is the right thing to do.

Do you have a time frame for full time preschool?

If it's less than 3 months for an open spot I would suggest you work with a temp agency and find a nanny that way.

Part time is fine, but I wouldn't want a job knowing I'd only have it for a month.

I'm either going to do full time preschool in the fall or part time nanny and half day preschool. I'll commit to whatever we get into for a year in the fall and would put that in our nanny contract.
