This comment and the earlier one about all a nanny does is watch "Maury" are just ignorant and completely false. If that is all you can provide as a defense as to why a nanny should be filmed in a private residence, in spite of the fact that it opens her up and makes her vulnerable to hackers and such, then you are very stupid. I usually do not take cheap shots like this, but I wouldn't even define your defense as logic.

I also read the story online about the nanny who was changing the baby's diaper in the baby nursery and heard a male voice. She thought it was an intruder and almost called 911. Turned out it was an intruder...2015 style. A virtual intruder.

He wasn't a sociopath or anything, but with the full access he had to what he could see and hear, it is scary what he could have done had he been one.

Nanny cams should be outlawed/banned because they put nannies in a very dangerous situation since hackers are everywhere. Public cameras in a public workspace is not the same as a private camera in a private workspace...Someone's private residence. People usually do not get raped or murdered in a crowded mall or office, but they do when they are alone in a single family residence.

No, no, we do all those things during our 5 hour "play dates", park trips and playseum visits with our nanny friends. Charges just run around or sleep in the stroller while we hang out.
