I agree, though I also agree with the PP that suggested one last go-for-broke conversation with mom where you say you can either hold the baby 100% of the time, or get other tasks done, but not both.

I just quit an hour ago. I told her it isn't working out and that I needed to find a better for for me. She got really angry. I told her I would work the rest of the week but she said her sister will watch her. MB proceeded to tell me how awful of a person I am and that her babies aren't ready to sleep on their own until 6+ months. I just left.

you did the right thing. she was totally unreasonable (and I am a mother who basically held my first baby constantly the first 2-3 months. but I could get very little done and certainly would not expect a nanny to do the same and do housekeeping at the same time. I also listened to people with more experience). this is one of those mothers who will go through many nannies, housekeepers .....
