| I interviewed with a family and they offered me the job on the spot. I went home to think about it, and a few days later my current family offered me extended hours to negate the need for the second job. I emailed them as soon as I knew and told them my normal response: thank you for the opportunity, I enjoyed getting to know your family, good luck on the search, etc. The mother emailed me back saying, "I'm so disappointed. You should have given me more notice! etc. etc. etc." I also felt like I dodged a bullet because she worked as a blogger, and when I looked at her blog after the interview she wrote about EVERYTHING. I definitely did not want to be a showcase on it! |
