How can a job applicant say she doesn't like to talk about money? It makes sound like a twelve year old child. Red flag. |

So if you work 2 or 3 days, that means you are home 2 or 3 days and the nanny is working?
This is something most nannys dont like doing fyi, make sure you are clear in what you expect when you are both in the house at the same time. |

$800 a week for 3 kids.
Not such a great deal. Some nannies get that for just 1 kid |
| You should start her at $18 and have room to grow. |
OP here. We will rarely be in the house at the same time. Usually I will take one child somewhere while she is with the others. Or she takes one somewhere and I'm home. If we are both home I stay out of the way and if the children try to ask me something I refer them to the nanny. That's how it works now. |
I'm a nanny who said I thought this seemed like a good offer and I do make $20/hr for 1 child. If I were looking for a job and felt a good fit with the MB, I'd take it. Not all of us are willing to prioritize $1 or $2/hr more over a great working environment. In the end, I've found, you usually get more out of those positions (financially, emotionally, professionally) anyway (better bonuses/raises later, good relationships with the whole family, great networking and recommendations). |
