I would also ask you to try to keep her from jumping off the couch in the future.

Oh come on. It was an accident. Kids hurt themselves All. The. Time. She already feels bad enough.

+1. I guess it depends on your MB. My nanny usually tells me when I get home if anyone has a bruise and that's always been fine with me. But I guess from the PP some MBs would want to know earlier.

+2 my nanny doesn't tell me about all the bumps are bruises. I did get a call immediately when DD (2 at the time) tripped and fell in her face, busting open her lip and breaking her front tooth. That, to me, is worthy of an immediate call. Regular scrapes and bruises, no.

Op here: my bosses were not upset, thank god... I knew they wouldn't be but it's their child's face so you never know.... I was really more concerned that if she were to complain later that maybe she had damaged a
Bone in her face or something (ridiculous, I know - but she's so tiny! You just never know!)

Thanks again

I'd want you to tell me about it when I got home. Wouldn't expect anything more than that unless it was serious.

Sounds like you handled it fine though - never hurts to err on the safer/more informative side if you're unsure.

But get used to it. I have twin 2 year olds. The bruises (on all of us!) are constant!!!

Ditto!! Pretty sure my mob would say the same thing! (In fact this could be my mb)
I only report on big things like playground falls or fingers in the door.
