An observation:
According to OP, husbands cannot be trusted to be alone around nannies. According to OP, you can't hire a "manny" because mannies are not to be trusted, either. In the opinion of OP, are no men to be trusted, ever? |
I don't need to worry about my nanny as she isn't to much of a stunner and even if she was, my husbands not interested. |
Fact: Only MB can determine if it's a good idea to leave her husband alone with the help. Fact: Most men are trustworthy most of the time. Many men are trustworthy all of the time, so far. Some men will never even be tempted. Question: Do you really want to flirt with temptation? Fact: It's up to you. |
You're nuts! ![]() |
Never been hit on or touched by your boss in an isolated building? It's commonly referred to "sexual harassment", FYI. |
Fact: You still have to trust some people, some of the time. All of life one is required to "flirt with temptation." You don't get to keep other people in locked, padded rooms. |
What are you talking about? No one wants to "lock" up anyone. The point is that the more you flirt with trouble, the more likely you are to get it. Most people prefer to minimize risk of unwanted consequences. |
Obviously I didn't mean locking people up literally. I mean not trusting people or controlling them to the point where you are reworking your entire set of household responsibilities/economic situation just to prevent them from encountering "temptation." It's ridiculous. My husband is the one who works from home and needs the nanny to cover his work hours. Am I supposed to enroll my child in daycare just because I do not trust my husband. If the answer is yes, something is very wrong with me or with him. |
And, if I believe the "something very wrong with him" is his simply being male, then I would have a very negative attitude toward men!
Likewise, when men make this argument about women, we have a word for it: misogyny. |
This thread is a hilarious waste of time. |
Funny how you feel compelled to share your deep thoughts. |
Are you Maria Shriver? |
Are you Mayor Bob Filner? |
Thx to both of you for the chuckles. ![]() |
Simple. My nanny is slightly overweight, older and a little homely. No worries at all. The babysitter with short shorts and a nose ring-- she only gets called if it is me who is there for drop off and pick up. |
