I've had some like this too, with my charges in them, and they've always been negative or stressful. One time I dreamt I was taking my three charges home with me to FL but halfway there realized I forgot to pack any bags for them, so I was freaking out that I was missing clothes, diapers, medicines, etc. I woke up so relieved it wasn't true, haha. Another time I dreamt I was at a swimming pool with them, and one of my charges fell in the pool while I wasn't looking. When I finally noticed her floundering in the water, I couldn't jump in for some reason! So I was crying/screaming, and trying to get her to swim to the edge, when I woke up... Phew, glad that one was a dream! Clearly, it was somewhat traumatizing!! Ha |
My dream is more funny. I was rocking the infant to sleep. When I woke up, I was "rocking" my husband's arm as though it was a baby. When I told him about this in the morning, he laughed and said he dreamed that burglars were holding him down by his arms. |
Haha. This is awesome. |
Lol that's funny! |
It may be a form of anxiety about leaving your loved child with a stranger daily.
Or perhaps you have some secret doubts that you carry with you and do not face them because you feel you could be overreacting, etc. You might want to bring this up next time you see your M.D. |
I have that dream with my dog, well similar. I dream that I will see her out when I left her at home. I have this dream so often that it is always in the back of my mind (way, WAY back there, but there nonetheless). I realize this is not actually going to happen and am not scared that it might. I wouldn't be concerned, but I see no harm in telling your nanny about your crazy dream and then reminding her to never leave the kids with anyone else. And just let her know that bc of the dream, you felt you needed to make it known. No big deal, then you can move on. |
There was only one PP that said to talk to the nanny. Others have said to talk to her doctor, that she was crazy, that it was just a dream, etc. I don't think many would suggest OP speaking to her nanny about it. |
My MB has constant paranoid dreams like this... Is that you, MB?? She is constantly reminding me of ridiculous common sense things and micromanaging me trying to control everything. She has constant dreams of me dropping the baby or losing the kids. I've been with them 3yrs and now I'm job hunting because I can't take her BS and accusations anymore. She needs to be medicated! |
Aw PP, i'm really sorry you're having such bad dreams? What do you think could help alleviate the anxiety? |
I have dog dreams too! My dogs get out of the house and go running wild and I can't get them back. I also have dreams where I see them out when they're supposed to be home. |
Yikes! |
I think all that dream is, all that during the day though and worried, your mind process while yr sleeping. |
I had a dream that I left charge on the changing table, went to the mall, shopped and ran into mb on my way out of the mall - then suddenly realized I had forgotten the baby ON THECHANGInG TABLE! |
