I would RUN FAST...find a new jon...then...
Honestly text, email, call, or write it in a letter. Dear Parents,...."the help" (although I prefer to be called "the nanny"), friends, and even strangers off the street deserve respect. What you said earlier was so offensive, and I have found new employment where I feel better appreciated, and ya know, like a normal human being" |
Your statement doesn't make sense. If MB wants to make sure YOU are having the child say his manners at all times then that means he is saying them TO you as well, rather than speaking rudely to you and nicely to others. I would be offended that in this day and age I was being referred to as "the help". I know that's what I am as a nanny, but their a word for it, nanny. Not "the help." |
PP above. *there is a |
Wow, you're a real piece of work, aren't you? I have two degrees and choose to be a professional nanny. I could give you a suggestion on where you can put your judgmental attitude... To the OP, I would not like that at all. I would probably find a new job. I have a friend who worked for a family like that and they treated her horribly. |
Sorry, your doctor does not work for you! Neither does your lawyer but as you hire them and maybe put them on retainer, that is a little bit closer than with a doctor. You don't pay a doctor an hourly rate to do something for you. You pay the few they charge and work around their schedule of when they are free. You have to be an employer of the person to technically call them "your help". |
That should have been *fee* not "few they charge"... |
OP I would be offended as well.. You said 'visibly appalled'. Does that mean your MB noticed your reaction when she said it?
See the thing is, it was a ignorant comment that your MB most likely said out of ignorance not rudeness.. However, it did give you a glimpse on how she truly feels about you and your position. Some people can ignore it and move on but others might really feel offended and then they slowly start to dislike their job. I personally wouldn't LEAVE but I completely understand why it would offend you. |
It is a bizarre thing to say. Is there any chance she was making a joke that fell really flat? The way you worded it, she wants you, the nanny, the enforce manners so he doesn't think its ok to be rude to his parents. I sometimes joke to my husband that my 3yo talks to me like I'm a badly performing stewardess in the first class cabin. Could it be a joke along those lines? Either way, either really odd or really off. |
People, this is the troll. Ignore and carry on. |
So is the OP, 16:28. |
I'm 16:28, are you saying I'm a Troll? I didn't write this post. |
Get a fucking life who trolls a nanny website. If a post sparks your interest, respond to it. If not, move on with your lives. |
No, 16:28, I was not calling you a troll. I was telling you that OP is a troll. |
This is absurd. If my doctor isn't working for me, while she's tending to my needs, who do you think she's working for? Her pussy cat? |
13:12, maybe you should start posting in the special needs section. |
