I agree! As entertaining as I think these confessions can be I don't think that us nannies are doing ourselves any favors by posting them. Already people in this board see us as untrustworthy, entitled, and over payed. Most of us are probably pretty great the majority of the time so why group all of our worst and most unsavory confessions here all in the same place, thus making nannies as a group look a lot worse than we really are.

I would never hurt or neglet your kids but frankly think they are the most spoiled brats that I have ever encountered. I also eat your special chocolate that you keep hidden and let the children watch more tv then I should.

Please, you play this stupid "special snowflake" routine on all of the boards. I doubt you are a nanny, just trying to make us look bad.

Agree

Wow. As an MB, yeah, you are definitely making me grumpy about nannies. I manage to entertain my baby without TV on the days I'm with the baby, and you can too.

As an MB, these confessions do make me want to get a nanny cam and lock up my personal items.

As a nanny, you do realize most of the over the top posts are probably from one or two people trying to make either a) MB look bad or B) Nannies look bad.

Do you trust *your* nanny? No, than it's your fault. Don't hire anyone you don't trust.

Horrible MB's lead to purposely careless nannies.

I'm a nanny and I do not agree.

If parents are bad, you don't make the children suffer. You quit.

Who cares what people on this board think? This isn't a job interview, it's an anonymous forum. I'm an MB and yes, I read things on here that make me cringe but I love and trust my nanny with my son-the most important person in my life. This board doesn't make me feel otherwise.

Exactly. If what is said on an anonymous board on the internet makes you doubt who you hired, you must have other issues with your nanny.

My days are extremely long ( sometimes 13-14 hours a day). I shouldn't say everyday. It's more like 2-3 times a week. Baby falls asleep 20-30 minutes into the show.

PP, I'm not a nanny.

I have 15+ years experience with all sorts of kids, you barely see your three under three 20 hours a week yet still act like I'm the biggest idiot in the world when I suggest what may be wrong with your DS, or that DD may need glasses, or that baby DD may have a lactose allergy. You ignore my advice, although you told me you hired me for my experience. You treat me like "the help", and numerous times have overrode me in front of your children.

I have honestly wanted to quiet so many times, the only reason I stay is because I honestly love your children. I said I wondered why they were such extravagant children, and I know. It's because of me.

LOL. Another nanny who thinks she's the reason why the kids are good mannered. You are the help. Nannies are there to help when parents aren't. Your attitude shows that you aren't the reason the kids have a good attitude.

Those are your bosses kids and they will always be there kids. When they don't need you anymore they will gladly ship your annoying, entitled a&Z back to wherever it is you came from.

This board is the reason why I would NEVER hire a nanny. My children are much too precious to be under the care of one of you crazies.

You can never completely trust someone. Maybe in a perfect world but this isn't one and alot of parents thought they could trust their nanny until one day their kid is killed because nanny was Jacqueline and Hyde.
