Did you do anything to earn a bonus or do you just expect it as an entitlement? Nanny positions do not last forever as kids grow up. You are an employee not an adopted adult child.

They may be in a position where they really no longer need to employ a nanny but are keeping you around. You enjoy a reduced workload and the same pay/perks so you hang around. If you are not doing things that make you valuable as an employee then you have no reason to expect a bonus for exceeding your performance because you are not doing this.

And btw you make a lot of assumptions!!! What reduced workload? I care for kids aged 6, 4, and 15 months.

Maybe it is something in their finances. Or they could be unhappy with your job performance.
