Sitter vs. Nanny

I’ve had regular jobs and parents still call me a babysitter when introducing me. I think some families feel it makes them look smug so they downplay it. I was also in college so maybe they felt I didn’t want it be labeled as my career. I’ll never know but I worked a ton of hours for these families so they could work and my hours were regular.
