“Tarnation!” is one of my favorite expressions of mild frustration.

I just rediscovered “Shut the front door!” Trying to incorporate it into my daily conversation.

My young Vietnamese colleague has a habit of saying “How ‘bout that” in mild surprise. It always cracks me up. Where did he pick that up??

I'm GenX and I say "heavens to Betsy". I curse a fair amount too.

I have some old timey phrases, like "jeepers!" or the fake swear "frickers" "fudgesicles" etc.

My Gen X aunt says "Hey meng" lol. I think that's pretty outdated.

My 80-year-old mom still says, “for corn’s sake” or “for Pete’s sake”.

She also says “jiminy gravy” and calls the kids stinkers when they misbehave.

Spouse says, "holy smokes!" all the time, sounds very old fashioned but since he can do no wrong in my eyes it's fine.

When I was a kid almost all of those would have ended with my grandfather getting the soap to wash out our mouths.
