Not for an athlete.
Depends on the kind of athlete. If you want to play, earn a varsity letter, and maybe captain and win some PVAC championships or do well in metro level competitions in golf, wrestling, swimming, etc, it's a possibility. They don't make school sports a full time job, which is a bonus for a lot of athletes. If you are looking to be recruited in lacrosse or football, then no. If you want to be recruited in an individual sport and play club, it works, especially since they don't have a three season sport requirement so you can focus on your club. As long as you can also manage the workload. Some guys can, some don't want to, which is understandable.
