Do you work for LS? Why do you care that people don’t want to make a mandatory donation because they paid for a service that was never received?
Exactly. I can purchase 30 lattes with my $150. The petty person here is Loudoun Soccer. They are a big for profit company disguised as a non profit organization. Not only that, their ego is so big with their too big to fail campaign by refusing refunds. Families look after themselves first. Loudoun will survive. Their bank account is big enough and could take the hit. The squeaky clean image is over. Just make it right - it’s not worth the bad rep !
I'm curious to see the reaction when Loudoun Soccer announces how they're going to be handling travel soccer refunds (or lack thereof). If rec parents are this upset about $164 that they paid (and I'm not discounting their reasoning for being upset), imagine how travel parents who paid $1,500 - $3500+ are going to feel when LS says, "Sorry about the Spring travel season. Here's your $100 credit for next season (or whenever we play soccer again)".
