That's a really broad question. I'm a petite woman. Some people seem to find me attractive and some do not. Most of the negative comments I have received have been from women, big boned, tall women. Several have referred to me as "little" and make rude comments. I think all people are attractive in their own ways. Some people have a type, some do not. Jealousy and judgement, however are the least attractive traits in a male or female to me. |

Guy here. First wife was tall and thick or big-boned like poster above said. I always felt small. I could not pick her up. I may sound superficial but it did have an impact. Her personality was big as well meaning she was bossy, not meaning she was outgoing.
My second wife is petite and I love it. I can carry her and when I like the fact that I'm bigger than she is. She comes off as more feminine. Call me a neanderthal, I'm just being honest. Big boned women look heavier when they gain weight too. |

Growing up, I thought "petite" meant "small." My wife tells me it just means "short." Which one are we talking about here when we see "petite?" Short women have a harder time with weight simply because there aren't as many places for it to go.
In any case, if your waist is narrower than your hips and boobs, petite can be very attractive. |

I'm barely 5', and small boned. Some men find me too short. But my DH is 6'3", so some men do find me attractive. I've been told I'm "pretty" by a few men. I guess it just depends. Like some men only like women with big boobs, while others don't really care, or don't find huuuge boobs very attractive. My DH doesn't find really really big boobs attractive. He likes symmetry.
I guess the question should be - do *most* men find petite women attractive as long as they are slim and have a somewhat attractive face? |

I'm 5'4'' and 126 lbs. Shape-wise, I'm closest to a pear. I haven't had too much trouble finding people to date, and DH certainly seems to find me attractive. 
FWIW I do think a lot--certainly not all, but probably most--guys like to feel bigger than the girl they're with. |

Woman here. I don't think you're a neanderthal. I'm a tall woman and I prefer tall guys for the same reason. I like feeling like the guy I'm with could protect me. I also like big bear hugs and being tossed on the bed. |

Sorry, but you're not petite. You're close to the average height (5'5"). I think petite is 5'2" and below. |
