Sorry, but you're not petite. You're close to the average height (5'5"). I think petite is 5'2" and below.

In fashion, petite generally means styled for women 5’4” and shorter. You can buy a size 18-22P, btw.

- I’m just under 5’5” and about 122 pounds. Small framed and featured. One advantage is that I tend to appear at first glance a bit youthful.

Sorry, but you're not petite. You're close to the average height (5'5"). I think petite is 5'2" and below.

PP here. Tell that to my pants, which are usually size 2 petite. I can't wear regular length pants because I'll trip on them. Technically I'm 5' 3.75''. Does that make you happier?

taking a petite clothing size is not the same thing as being a petite person.

most people, when talking about petite people, mean women who are under 5'2'' and are also small in shape. it doesn't generally refer to a woman who is taller than that, or who otherwise seems large in any way. i would imagine the op is either a tiny woman or else a tiny woman fetishist looking for others of his or her kind to name names and post pics.

I agree with you. I'm also a petite woman and most people I know consider someone petite if they are small in both stature and size.

I have also found what previous posters (both the male and tall female) said to be true. A lot of men prefer to be with a woman smaller than they are.

I am tall and thin. There are plenty of men taller and bigger than me. Petite, but overweight women look like trolls,tbh.

I'm female, 5'1 and typically hover around 118lbs. (Some) men really like petite women. But honestly, it really depends on if you're attractive or not and take care of yourself. You can be petite and homely.

Overall, I've found men typically like to date women who are smaller than them. Although there's some men who like the BBW type too! It completely depends on preference.

I’m 5’6 so certainly not short but am 115 lbs, tiny bone structure and small shape, and I’m called petite all the time. Most people don’t really know what it means. Majority of men are taller than me, but all are much bigger.

Same here. I am in my 40s, the mother of several college-age children, and between 5'9" and 5'10". But I weigh only 127 lbs. I am often told that I am "small" or look so "young" -- by women and men both -- because my weight to height ration give me the same frame I essentially carried as a teenager.

Neither of you are Petite. If you are taller than your potential suitor, trust me...he doesn’t care how thin you are, you are not petite.
