I see nothing saying this.

Oh well if you don't see it it didn't happen.

He posted it this morning.

Oh I'm sorry. I'm not in the sticks.

I live in falls church. I thought I’d was just going to be on grassy areas ? Will Fairfax county delay or close schools ?

Very doubtful.

I don't find him to be reliable at all. He's not even a meteorologist. He just regurgitates model data and doesn't actually know how to interpret any of it. I frequently find that he hypes up storms that turn out to be nothing.

Uh that is like, the exact opposite of what he does. He tracks data for days/weeks before making big predictions and for Loudoun, where he lives, he is usually dead on.

Agree. I find him remarkably accurate.

In my first year in DC, we had 8ish inches in Veterans Day. No one knew what to do since most businesses closed if the Government closed and the government was already closed for the holiday.

I don't know about here, but I grew up thinking snow before thanksgiving was normal in southeastern Michigan back in the late 70s/early 80s. We even had snow for Halloween one year. Then, for what seemed like forever, we didn't have snow for Thanksgiving. Change happens.

I grew up in PA and thought snow during Thanksgiving was perfectly normal. It's even mentioned in "Over the River"

I'm not ready to stock up on Crunchberries and whisky - yet.

I think the models have changed a little today and are more favorable for a bigger event.

National Weather Service says rain/sleet until 10 am and then rain. (This is for Alexandria)

Alexandria is the snow bubble. So all the schools will close and we will just end up getting rain. So exciting.

Alexandria really is the snow bubble. I love living here, but I hate that we always miss the snow.

What does being a meteorologist have to do with whether you can analyze data and make a prediction based on that available data? Does the certificate from the AMS magically convey that ability?

The best weather forecaster I ever knew was a former B-52 bomber navigator who retired and became a storm chaser. He wasn't a meteorologist, either, but he was practically supernatural with his ability to interpret and predict weather.

Getting hung up on certificates is a hallmark of someone who doesn't have a clue WTF they're talking about.
