I'm reading wildly different things ... my Weather Channel app says 5-8 inches, but on WAMU this morning the Capitol Weather Gang said there will be no accumulation.
What are you all hearing? |
| Wintry mix west of DC changing to rain |
| All I know is there’s a snowflake in my weather app and I am SO EXCITED!!!! |
| Jays wintry mix says could be 6 inches if model doesn't shift . He's pretty reliable. |
| Wtf?! Oh no! I need more autumn! |
| What in the actual hell? |
|
I'm a crappy mom and was procrastinating on getting my kid snow boots and snow pants. :/
I have no time to get anything before Thursday, so I guess she'll be staying inside for this one. At least she's only 2 and won't really know the difference. |
NO! Normally I am all over snow, but we need it to hold off until Sunday evening. |
Weather Channel app relies strictly on model data and takes very little else into account, hence the ridiculous 5-8 inch forecast. You need to follow forecasters who actually interpret the data and take other things into consideration such as pavement temperature and other factors. WXRisk is an asshole but he's pretty accurate. CWG is decent too. |
| CWG is the worst. They will literally predict all outcomes annrhen claim they were right no matter what. |
I don't find him to be reliable at all. He's not even a meteorologist. He just regurgitates model data and doesn't actually know how to interpret any of it. I frequently find that he hypes up storms that turn out to be nothing. |
Uh that is like, the exact opposite of what he does. He tracks data for days/weeks before making big predictions and for Loudoun, where he lives, he is usually dead on. |
| Dogs and cats, living together...mass hysteria!! |
I see nothing saying this. |
Get a grip. It’s not gonna be snow angel accumulation. Now get on the target app and order some crap. |
