OK, so you'll be fine at K then. Go add EOTP DCPS schools then if you're looking for a space. |
WOTP or not all wards should have public PK3 in DC... this is unfair on other wards as well.... |
Why do you say that? |
I’m guessing is because she didn’t get a spot... |
This. |
We have spots over on the other side of the river. |
And also access to free public PK3 should be a right for all tax-paying DC residents, this is not just personal... |
You are guaranteed a spot in PK3. There are enough slots. They just might not be at the schools you desire, are convenient for your commute, etc. |
There are more spots than there are students. It just may not be where you want to commute to. |
DCPS should create an early childhood school for preK 3 and 4. Put it in Wards 3, 4, and 5. |
Again, why do you think that? PK3 was instituted to support historically lower-performing populations and at the time, those populations were the vast majority of DC residents outside of Upper NW. |
I was disapointed when I saw my list, but I guess I should be grateful that my daughter got in somewhere, and our numbers aren't that bad in comparison.

Agreed. Janney or Key are waiting for you next year and EOTP kids aren't getting in. |
You dont have PreK 3, because there is no physical room in the school buildings. To have pre k 3, you need to redraw the school boundaries to make them smaller. When they tried that 3 years ago, Ward 3 parents threw a fit. I witnessed this personally at the community meetings. You can't have your cake and eat it too. |
