I am dating someone very seriously... we have both been married/divorced and we both have children. Calling each other boyfriend/girlfriend seems so juvenile but it feels necessary to have a "title"... not for us, but society (introductions are strange as "friend"). What do you call your SO? |
Depends how seriously. Partner if very, boyfriend if not. |
She Who Must Be Obeyed |
My Old Man |
Boyfriend?
There really isn't another word for it. I'm an adult, with a child and dating. Doesn't make it any different. Partner is only if you are living with them and marriage objectors. |
I'm not yet 40 but I say partber |
Either partner or boyfriend/girlfriend. I knew someone in HS that referenced this guy as her lover but that was a bit too much info.

I say "ladyfriend" but my sisters say it sounds like she's a prostitute. |
Partner. |
Cuddle bug |
"Friend" accompanied by a knowing look. |
Mah boo |
My man/my lady |
Significant other. |
