Gift idea for wedding shower?

Anonymous
Help! My friend isn't registered, but I'd love to get her something nice. The couple is in their 40s and make a good salary, so they have lots of household stuff.

She's fun, likes music, going out, dining. It's a shower gift, so I was originally thinking of keeping budget to $50, but if it's a great idea I could go higher (or save idea for wedding).

Why is she being thrown a shower, then? The whole point of a bridal shower is to "shower" the bride with gifts that she will need to set up house--sheets, towels, kitchen gadgets, pots and pans...
If the couple already has that stuff, and couldn't even be bothered to register for a few fancy gadgets and picture frames, there's really no point to the shower.

Celebrate with engagement parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, etc.---but a shower makes no sense in this case.

I wouldn't go.

I'm very happy for my friend and excited to celebrate with her. In any way she wants.

Ok. Then go to Bed Bath and Beyond and pick up a nice mixing bowl set.

Does she have a kitchenaide mixer? If so then maybe there's an attachment she might like?

Do they like to travel or do bike touring or anything like that? If so then maybe a gift related to those hobbies?

Do they have a pet? Something to spoil the pet is always appreciated.

I have a great idea. I have given these to my friends, as shower gifts, and as other gifts. People LOVE them.
For someone who already has a lot of household gifts, I would go with a Nora Fleming bowl or platter and a mini that is appropriate for the couple’s interests. https://norafleming.com
I have several and I use them frequently for entertaining.
You can find them online - I generally order from http://www.cottagecreationsmokena.com/nora-fleming
