Nice try, older millennials.

I'm not pp, but she is absolutely right.

I was born in 1984 , and by most definitions I have seen that makes me a millennia and all of what was mentioned was part of my childhood.

Me too. There is a lot of overlap, especially in the earlier years. We have some stuff later in childhood that they didn't have though. Maybe we should start our own thread.

The transition from vinyl to CDs..working at the college radio station. As a freshman everything was LPs...four years later most releases were CDs.

I don't think thsoe were Reebox, they were kangaroos. I loved mine!! http://www.kangaroos.com/

Never getting sick of a movie because VCRs didn't exist until 3rd or 4th grade. Then you had a rent a movie and take it back the next day so you never got to watch something over and over.

ABC Afterschool specials

Cabbage Patch Kids

Being more afraid of your teacher than your teacher was of your parents

Not having constant access to news so you had a lot less to worry about

My siblings were born in '65 and '67 and all of us identify with a lot of these memories. I don't really think those of us born around then identify with Baby Boomers. For instance, I don't remember when (either) Kennedy was shot.

You are considered a baby boomer. It's more about how you relate to the boomers, taste in music is a big indicator.

I think siblings and family dynamics play a big role in how you feel, rather than the textbook definition. I'm solidly GenX, born in 1972, but friends with slightly older siblings and younger parents (I was the oldest child of older parents) always seem more culturally connected.

I had jeans from Express that folded over at the waistband to form these two triangles over the belt area. So f-ing ugly, but were all the rag where I lived. Also guess overalls, for girls.

Lol - I had pants like that too. Mine were pleated and mint green in color. Worn with my pastel pink Beverly Hills polo club sweatshirt and permed hair, I totally thought I was hot shit.
