By the way, NO WAY she is a size 16. You all implying that are crazy. |
I said Marilyn was size 16 and considered "ideal" way back when. I have no clue what size Michelle is...but she rocks her curves well. |
Yeah they did. Crackpot poster no. 2 I believe started it off. And saying she's BIG? Come on. Being tall is not the same as being BIG. But if it makes you feel better to call her so that's something you should investigate further. |
I totally agree. I would have been sad to see her standing there all stuffy in some Barbara Bush looking suit. It's just not her. |
You are absolutely right and I am entitled to my own opinion as well. I think your comment was ignorant and silly.. |
Guess you've never seen her on tv, standing next to other tall people. She towers over them. She is very tall and very big boned and I too have met her in person. She is a large lady. She is not fat, she is not ugly, she is not fat-assed. She is BIG. As in her FRAME. |
She's 5'11. McCain is 5'9. Obama is 6'1. She is a big girl. |
I agree that she is a tall, large-framed person. May I suggest that is part of why I think the dress doesn't work on her? The cut away arms (that go further in than regular sleeveless) evoke a sports-bra top look. Standing in the same pose as Hillary Clinton's cover, you can see that Michelle isn't petite and diminutive (nor would she probably ever care to be, I'd bet) That dress makes her look very athletic and very casual.
Changes in the White House away from stuffy notwithstanding, it's my opinion (and I'm entitled to my own) that her choice of dress is not in keeping with "Presidential decorum" and I still say time will tell. It's done, it's over anyway. |

The cut of the dress is perfect for her. If the arm holes were cut broader on her shoulders, she'd look like a linebacker. |
I believe First Lady Obama is a size 12 - but in person she is not BIG - she is TALL. |
I find that the Obamas are "modernizing" the White House and in many ways connecting with the public. They are decorating the WH with the furniture from Pottery Barn. For me PB is still pretty expensive, but they are not using furniture and designers that cost a gazillion dollars for anachronistic stuffy styles that most people cannot afford. They are contemporary and feel the pulse of the way people are and live. |
Great way to sum it up. I think she rocks. Thank god for a change of centuries.... |
I don't know...They're using Michael Smith. He may scatter a few PB pieces here and there, but I doubt he's relying on them. |
So....what's your point? She's a gorgeous and super fit woman. Not everyone thinks short and skeletal is hot. Does anyone think short and skeletal is hot?! LOL |
