Why is LAMB not on this list?

I think LAMB did not participate in the unified lottery, so perhaps that's why?

Neither did YY, Stokes, or CM and they are all on the list.

I don't think the numbers can be right. We're #6 on the waiting list for 5th grade at Basis, according to myschool.org, and we haven't heard anything yet.

Looks like the most popular charter for PK3 is Two Rivers -- 563 on the waitlist. Interestingly, I am middle of the pack for TR on the waitlist and right at the end for a bunch of other schools (Bridges, MV, DC Bilingual, and pretty much every DCPS I applied to).

I'm not talking preferences, Tier 1, anything just sheer number of seats. I know of at least 6 families shut out, and that's just amongst the people I have chatted with on the playground, etc.

You are not shut out until school starts and you don't have a seat. In the next few weeks, seats will open up....

Agree with this. There are schools that have seats available, e.g., Seaton did not fill its entire PK3 class.

The numbers for 2R, CM, YY, and Stokes are probably a little inflated -- although impressive regardless -- since they were outside the unified lottery and didn't have to squeeze into anyone's 12 picks.

Two Rivers most definitely is in the common lottery, and also the longest wait list.

2R was not outside the common lottery.

To the LAMB poster, I heard on Monday that everyone (in PK3) accepted their spots. Of course things can always change, but it seems like it's unlikely to happen in the near-term.

(But their waitlist numbers are also posted on their website if you'd like to stay current/obsessively check in: http://www.lambpcs.org/news/2014/3/26/enrollment-application-results-for-school-year-2014-2105.html)

Hm. I also heard that enrollment paperwork was not due until yesterday, so maybe there is still hope...

FYI, I just checked with my top choice and they say that even though this data is up, they won't have the updated enrollment data until Monday.

Sorry, I was the poster who mistakenly said 2R was outside the unified lottery -- as noted above, they in fact participated, which makes their waitlist numbers all the more impressive.

We applied to 2R as our 12th spot just because we had an open slot but it was certainly not our popular pick. I'd like to see which schools were ranked in top 3 the most.

I thought WMST was closing. Or is it just moving from Bladensburg Road?
