I really love those Charles Viancin silicone lids! I have the lily pad and the hibiscus.

I have never seen those dip holders, love the idea. My DD is currently big into dipping!

That's mainly what we use them for - for DS's food, he really likes dipping too. They are also nice when I want a bowl of chips and salsa on the side

I just got these new snapware food containers that are awesome because you can write on the list with a dry-erase marker - which is helpful for dating leftovers or write heating instructions.

Way better than any torch you can pickup at Williams Sonoma or similar. Seriously get this if you torch anything ever:

And ice cream maker is always fun as well for impressing people at parties assuming you actually make a good custard base and a unique flavor

This recipe has always been a hit:

I really, really, really like cooking and gadgets are fun as hell. Those above are my favorites.

Damn, are you cooking or trying to burn down the kitchen?

I use our apple slicer several times a week when I make kids lunches.

Something like this:

I just wish it would peel it as well.

I have been using my immersion blender constantly recently - I use it to puree soups and sauces (my kids don't like tomato chunks in their spaghetti), and it is really amazing for getting lumps out of gravy. I have also been grabbing a using it to scramble eggs and to finely chip onion and garlic. The clean up is so much easier than a big blender, mixer,

Also great for baby purees! Love the immersion blender.

I don't know what I'd do without my banana slicer

You, PP, are awesome. There is nothing better on the internet than the comments on the 571.

We actually prefer to use an old small jar. Put it in the front corner of your dishwasher. When the dishwasher runs, the jar will fill up with water. When you empty the dishwasher, empty the jar. If the jar has water, the dishes are clean. If the jar is empty, the dishes are dirty. Works great and it's FREE.

But, another vote for the immersion blender.

Things I use all the time:
- silpat
- small whisk
- mini silicon tongs
- microwave covers
- small strainer/collander

Do you get the idea I like smaller sized objects? I often cook/prep for one or two and I love the smaller items that work well for smaller portions. They're easier to clean and don't fill the drainrack as much.
