What gross food do you love?

I love pork rinds, which I find absolutely appalling. And I love that nasty fake cheese sauce on fast food. Oh, and the butter on movie theater popcorn. I get extra butter if no one is looking.

Oh man! My mom used to make a "krab salad" that was imitation crab meat, shredded iceberg lettuce, mayonnaise, and tons of cayenne pepper. I would DEVOUR it. Haven't thought about that stuff in years!

Boiled peanuts are not gross! They are manna from heaven! Btw, you can buy boiled peanuts at the indoor "mall" at the Eden Center in Falls Church. Haven't tried them, though, so don't know if they measure up to the ones at the roadside stands in the south.

Me too. I'm a particular fan of the autumn mix - even if the candy pumpkins make my teeth hurt.

Also like Russell Stover pectin jelly beans at Easter, the large Necco conversation hearts at V-Day, and Brach's Christmas nougats. Give me my sugar straight up - no need for chocolate.

While technically not really gross, when you eat a bag of it it starts to cross the line.

Are we the same person? I love all of the same seasonal candy.

My gross foods are Combos and Easy Cheeze (not together...although...).

Maybe we are the same person - I have been known to buy Combos in airport newsstands to have for dinner on a late flight.

Are those guys still there? Mmmmm....those pretzels were so good (forgetting about food safety).

Those are amazing. Love'em. I grew up in Philly too and my school used to sell them for 25 cents. I introduced my DH to them and he fell completely in love ... so it's not just Philly people!

Where can you find them that seems a little legit/safe? I don't go for roadside squeegee or soft pretzels these days.

Actually the sardines are probably the healthiest item listed here.

What I'm capable of eating:

chili con queso from the jar - dipping it in nothing, just eating spoonfuls of the stuff!
plain guacamole - see above re spoonfuls
plain hummus (esp. Greek style) - "

Oops! This is my post above. Other posts about "gross" foods seemed pretty delicious to me, so my post is about delicious, not gross foods!

Melt a good bit of butter in a pan then sweat minced garlic. Add red and green sliced peppers and some sliced sweet onion. When the onion starts to get translucent add "krab" and saute until the meat starts to brown

Hmm...Me too. Maybe people who love seasonal candy also love Combos. My best friend growing up had these exact same food likes!

That sounds delicious! I LOVE imitation crab and always get it on romaine at the Giant salad bar. I figure it IS fish, just not crab, right?

I also love pizza rolls, which are not something I've seen around here, but you can get them at bars and grills in the Buffalo area, as well as from the Swan's guy. They're pepperoni, sauce, and mozzarella in a delicious, dense dough that is rolled around them and fried. So much better than anything in the freezer aisle.
