If you actually educated yourself and looked up the situation before you spoke on it you would know the boy Xzavier who was crossing the street at the time holding his older sister hand got hit by a driver who was not only texting and driving but was speeding through a 4 way enter section and didn't stop at not one stop sign and hit the boy and just barely missed his sister so before you open your mouth and speak on something make sure you have your facts correct he wasn't playing in the street and its sad a 5yr at the time is paralyzed and can only breath using a ventilator to no fault on his own so tell me this DH when is crossing the street illegal and makes it your fault when you get hit dummy! |
Op here. If anyone is a degenerate its the pp |
Why describe the mom in the commercial as degenerate? There's no cursing or speech which is threatening/racist/profane/criminal.
Maybe OP has been cited for texting and driving and has a chip on his/her shoulder... |
X was supervised his body was ripped from the hand of his sister by a girl who was speeding after she had blew through a 4 way stop. What an ass to blame the mother of that child and you have nothing to say to the girl that almost killed him

This was my first theory, but now I'm thinking garden-variety troll. |
that is not the video you posted. |
the person who created this post is very ignorant and so is anyone who agrees. how can you compare texting while driving to rape anyway?? who does that? also the child was crossing the street at a stop sign, which children are allowed to do i'm sure! him and his 13-year-old sister were going to the park (gee, wonder why kids cross the street to do that for?) and this moronic woman who thinks she can drive and text at the same time RAN a STOP SIGN and HIT A KID! how can you blame the kid for that? how can you blame the mom who let her kids walk to the park to have fun? oh i'm sorry we should all keep our kids locked up tight instead of allowing them to be young and run along to play while the mom gets some much needed work done at home.
lets see, so we should blame the parents who let their kids play in their own front yard but yet get hit by stray bullets? must be the parents fault as well when a driver jumps a car over the curb and hits the kids while they play on the sidewalk? oh no wait! we should blame the parents who send their kids to school and get beat up by bullies? geez, the person who started this MUST be a kid or not have any, as well as not have any common sense. you are saying don't blame the victim? WELL YOU JUST DID, hypocrite. |
Disgusting, disgusting people posting on here.

DO YOU MEAN PROFESSOR XAVIER? (XMEN REFERENCE) |

I don't think that OP blames the victim or any future possible victims. I do think that the OP is saying that pedestrians should be aware of surroundings. Probably not in Xavier's case (as he had no warning) but just that kids should be looking out for driver's who are not following the rules. |
The OP said, "I in no way think that the driver is not to blame but I do think that we are sometimes to lax in teaching out kids safety rules." Guess what you're doing when you say, "I'm not blaming the victim, but..."? That's right -- you're blaming the victim. |
That is not victim blaming. That is pretty much a fact. I will admit that I have told my kids "stay in the cross walk" as if to imply that it is a safe zone. Reality is that it just isn't. |
Did you miss the first part of the OP's sentence?
And "stay in the crosswalk" actually is one of the safety rules we're supposed to be teaching our children. http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/dot-pedsafety/blairwalkproject.html |
I do teach them to stay in the CW, but I tell them to keep looking for cars as they are crossing in the cross walk. my SIL has explicitly said to her kids, "you cant get hurt by a car if you stay in the CW" |
