Checking out the lay of the land. |
In the last poll I saw by UT, he only got 4% of Texas Republicans. The only candidates lower were Santorum and Huntsman, and he was tied with Pawlenty. |
keep having wishful thinking. The tea party is a non-centralized grass-roots entity that is growing. The name could change every month. It its seething...growing...changing.. morphing into a MONSTER.ready to eplode on election day. RICK PERRY!.....brace for impact America. |
You know now of whom you speak. As a native Texan who has lived in Ricky Perry's Texas, I know a bit more about him. Ricky Perry is like George Bush II except with out Bush II's intelligence and social graces (ponder that for a second). He is a complete hypocrite who talks about the importance of the private sector, yet he has never had a job in the private sector. Instead, he has become a MILLIONAIRE living high on the Texas taxpayers' money. Here is the real Ricky Perry: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTqSp6r1QP8
Also, read up on the Trans Texas Corridor (TTC), which was going to be his "retirement" plan. President Obama and his crew could not dream of violating private property rights to the extent that the TTC would have. It was all about Perry enriching himself and his cronies at the expense of the property rights of Texans. Just wait, the truth about Perry and his record will surface over time. |
know *not |
Quite the video--pretty scary stuff (even if possibly exaggerated)! Although I often vote Republican, he wouldn't appeal to me. Sort of like Sarah Palin in that he seems overly confident. Many people like that are used to getting much of what they seek, based on looks and personality. Not reflective enougt for my vote. |
Laughable. Conservatives still have the training wheels on. You don't know what a movement is or what to do with it. And I hate to blow your mind, but do you know who he was in 1988? Brace for impact... Al "Sex Poodle" Gore's Texas Campaign Chair. Oh yeah, let that one sink in a bit. |
Also, Republicans should remember that Ricky Perry supported both Jimmy Carter and Walter Mondale when they ran against Ronald Reagan. Think about that for a minute. How many true conservatives were backing Jimmy Carter and Walter Mondale against Romulus Maximus? What changed after 1988? Well, Karl Rove convinced Perry that he would be more successful running as a Republican. Perry is a Republican b/c it suited his ambition, not b/c of a conservative ideology. If Texas became a Democratic state, best believe Perry would flip flop again. |
Nothing wrong with getting an up-close look at the beached whale known as "sex poodle" Gore, and then running..screaming..from his absolute wierdness and mindless caterwalling about the Earth turning into a fire-ball. |
Hahaha you gleefully back a guy and you don't even know the first thing about him. now hd turns out to be an intellectual lightweight, party-switching no businessman who voted for Jimmy Carter and plays Holy roller to get votes. panty sniffer says "Gore-Tex for President". Ahahahahaha! Sucker. |
Are you really this clueless? Texas is GROWING jobs, they have a GROWING economy. They have 10% of the population, but account for 40% of all new job growth in the last year. They are head and shoulders above the nation as a whole. Your bigotry is clouding your vision. |
I don't support Perry so far, but not because he used to be a Dem. Reagan supported Kennedy over Nixon in 1960 if I recall correctly .... |
Imagine an oil state growing after a war in the middle east. He's a genius. And it is pretty darn ironic that you care nothing about Texas' massive deficits given what you have written about Obama's deficits. Totally hypocritical. |
Minimum wage jobs and government jobs, for the most part. But wait - aren't government jobs bad? Well, that's OK - with the most recent budget, tens of thousands of layoffs will occur - mostly teachers. At least Texas has great education numb . . . what's that? Oh. Never mind. And those minimum wage jobs aren't really economic drivers. |
He was a supporter of FDR, but I don't recall ever seeing that he supported Kennedy. Wikipedia says he supported Eisenhower and Nixon. |
