As pointed out several times, it is a harmless mistake. The correct procedure would have been to reopen his case and say the gang problem he said he was scared of no longer applies, and then they would have deported him to El Salvador. Even this is not required under immigration law. The withholding of removal is not a right of the illegal immigrant. |
I don't know what world you live in where getting sent to a notorious prison is a harmless mistake. IRL, it is a shocking and egregious mistake that should be fixed. The Supreme Court agreed 9-0. |
Do you know the difference between a deportation in which a person is returned to his home country where he is free to resume his life and being sent to a brutal prison, presumably for life? If you don't know the difference, you probably lack the intelligence for this sort of discussion. If you do know the difference, how can you say that this is a "harmless mistake"? |
“For those saying Kilmar Abrego Garcia didn’t receive "due process"… he absolutely DID. He got it twice actually and two immigration courts said he is to deport. He didn’t have to return to El Salvador if he was terrified to do so, but he was not welcome in the U.S. He chose not to make a choice, stayed against court orders, and ultimately his fate was made for him. Not to mention he was determined to be an MS-13 gang member. They were designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) by the U.S. government. Matching the designation of his home country, El Salvador. U.S. Government is NOT facilitating his return. He is rightfully home and being held accountable by his own government.“ |
It has been covered already. If they don't make the mistake, then he still gets deported to El Salvador, and El Salvador still puts him in prison. This guy is not being paid for by America to be in prison. They deported him, and El Salvador put him in prison as MS-13, though that is a little unclear since the Van Hollen visit. Garcia appears to be in a different prison with his own room. |
What is the status of this case and all the renditioned Venezuelans? I know SCOTUS said they can’t continue with this without further process being given, but do they have to get these people back? We spent a lot of time talking about Garcia because he was deported in violation of a court order, but what about the other people that have been disappeared? We all okay with this??? |
Who got it wrong was the interviewer. MS-13 on the picture is to explain the tattoos. Marijuana (M) Smile (S) cross (1) Skull (3) |
Thanks for proving you are as dumb as trump |
Every judge that’s ruled on this case disproves this stupid narrative. Why are people still repeating it? |
In a new interview, Trump says he could bring back Abrego Garcia if he wants to. The president added he's "not the one making this decision," and said his attorneys do not want him to make the call, arguing he is following the law.

This is like when his lawyers admitted that he falsified business records while questioning Cohen. |
Deporting someone doesn’t typically result in their direct confinement to prison. This is not a “deportation”. This is fascism. |
It did in this case. And it would have had the same result even if the US government didn't make the mistake they made. |
