No wonder, this afternoon, I saw Dr. Reid at a shopping center holding in her hands shopping bags from the Ferragamo store. It made me wonder how a public servant can afford shopping at such a high-end retail store. Not to mention, it shocked me to see that her taste seems to be so out of tune with the proletariat vision she aims to project through her progressive agenda.

You’re really gross. Spying on the woman while she is shopping? Good for her that she’s indulging in some nice shoes. She’s got a lot of s h i t to kick around.

She’s very tone deaf to what her teachers are dealing with this year.

Gross is the unjustifiable exorbitant salary increase Dr. Reid just received when most students are not receiving the education they deserve, and teachers are overworked and underpaid. As a community member, I have the right to voice my opinion when our Superintendent “indulges” on a luxury brand (Ferragamo sales more than shoes) given the state of our current economy, all the while prioritizing “equity” because her newly acquired taste is at the expense of the taxpayers who can barely afford to shop at a regular retail store.

Yeah, the teachers I know are no fan of hers. They feel she is very out of touch.

The state of the economy is pretty good right now. It grew at almost 3% over the summer. People are spending $. Consumer spending rose at an annual rate of 3.7%. The unemployment rate is at 4% (low) and wage gains have outpaced inflation for over a year now.

She's demonstrated very little competence, but she's a smiley-face virtue signaler, so that's pretty much all that matters. Surprised they aren't bumping her to $500K.

lol, well you’re about to get the republican utopia you seem to crave so I hope you’re prepped for Trump Parochial Schools Online.

Lol-aah yes their orange savior.

She's been out of touch since she got here. I think she has had more than enough time to get in touch but it has not happened and here we are signing her on for longer-I really think more teachers will be leaving this year. Good ones

She's phony woke-surface not substance. her priority should be increasing teacher pay.

I knew little about her until this whole Hayfield debacle began but based on that alone, you're 100% right.

I was pretty amazed last night that Reid didn’t know that St. John-Cunning represents Franconia rather than Mount Vernon.

I mean, she basically reports to 12 people and she damn well ought to know who her bosses represent. If she can’t get that right, it really makes me question what she knows about other aspects of FCPS. She just seems to be a happy face - all style and no substance.

This is absurd, FCPS is not a for profit business. She is making more than POTUS and her raise alone is half of a teacher's salary. Btw what % raise did teachers get? Hers should be pegged to the county average for teachers.

Pics or it didn’t happen

I have issues with Reid but it’s ridiculous to compare a raise for one person to the raises for thousands. Of course she can have a higher percentage raise than FCPS employees. There’s too many FCPS employees.
