I love that sooo many discussions on here gravitate back to racism... Our president is HALF african american, and therefore anyone who isn't at least partially of that ethnicity is automatically a racist if they don't like him or agree with what he's doing. A LOT of people (myself included, but I'm white..) didn't like Bush.. So all of the people who weren't white who disagreed with Bush must have been racist also right???

Well, it goes back to slavery days and the "one drop" rule.

The point is, Obama has been criticized for doing things AND not doing things BEFORE inauguration day! His administration has managed to stabilize the roiling stock markets and economy which were roiling before he even won the election. Whether anyone wants to face it or not, the neglect, oversight, wink-wink, nudge practices of previous administrations have put us in a deeper hole than anybody could have imagined or admit.

What a ridiculous statement...I dislike him, but, I also disliked Bush and voted for Gore and Kerry. I dislike him because I think he's a self-loving blowhard...same reason I disliked Bush. They are really very similar in their shortcomings.

OH FYI--could careless about the Obama's trips..people forget that travel is an important industry in our country...wish they would do more of it here but so what if they like to do nice things...just don't tax me to death because I like to travel too.

You're absolutely right. But all of this could have been predicted from his past statements and writings.


Also, on the race issue -- why does everyone say that he's black? Isn't he as white as he is black? I'm seriously asking this question. Do most bi-racial people identify solely with one race? I don't get that.

NP here, but actually, I think PP's use of all caps is proper here. All caps means you're yelling. I think PP was yelling.
