So what’s the deal with Loudoun Elite? How do they compare to Metro South, Renaissance and No Panic?

I’d imagine that is for Metro regional teams, which is a decent option vs Mojo

Another eminent grab. They did the same thing last year

My DD got picked up by Metro during their second round of tryouts. It wasn’t just a money grab for us! She had a terrific season, loved the club, and will return.

Trying to decide whether to head to Renaissance or Loudoun Elite tonight. What are the differences?

Same here! need advice Volleyball experts! We are new to club this year and DD 15 really wants to make a team! So far she only has one offer from one of the least competitive clubs on the list. (x factor).

Perhaps make a decision on distance? They are quite different practice areas. Renaissance is McLean/georgetown- vs Loudon- way out west.

Renaissance is definitely still looking for players but may be trying to keep the team smaller- closer to 12-13 players? As opposed to 15 (which is common for 15U). Heard the coaches are good and like able.

Don’t know much about Loudon Elite 15U- heard the 16u coach is great though.

I’d go for driving distance

We got a tip from a floater coach at DD's "old" club that we should check out Loudoun Elite for a possible 16s roster spot this season.

We went to one clinic, as we could not get the schedules aligned (given the other clinics DD attended) to do more than that. This clinic was at 7 or 8PM on a Saturday night. I think only 9 girls showed up. We did get to chat with Coach Q, who I believe is the varsity HC at Heritage High, when the clinic ended. I believe he said that the club recently had a coach leave, so Coach Q was picking up a second team (I think he was originally going to have just a 17s team).

Per the club's website, we knew that the first 16s team coach is the varsity HC are Centreville High ... whom DD had played against twice by that point. We were hoping he would show for this clinic to see if he remembered my DD. Oh well.

Other than that, Loudoun Elite had the highest sticker price (for 16s) of all clubs we looked into ... at over $7K.

Checking out AES, their 15s team last year did not "finish" as well as DD's former 15s team. Too bad all of the historical info is gone on AES, so it's hard to assess their results without seeing what teams they played last season.

...

As others have noted, I probably wouldn't drive past other club locations just to get to Loudoun Elite. But, if they are one of the closest ones to you, it may be something that works for your player/your family.

But they're advertising THIRD rounds. Not second.

Loudoun Elite announced 2 u15 teams- sent offers- then decided they didn’t have enough strong players to field a 2s team- then just announced a little bit ago they are putting the 2s team together after all. Free tryout tonight for u15 and u16. Monday- 11/6- hoops plus 7-9

Loudoun Elite is horrendous. Always desperate, and always a money grab. They advertised two U15 teams…one was a new coach they never really put out there. Was sus from the start. One team was already going to be all return players…the return players were told this ahead of time. They made an offer to some girls for the second team, then shared some of the key players they wanted didn’t accept, so they sent an email there would be no second U15 after all. Parents of girls that got offers were livid, obviously, hence the change of heart. I’m not sure there really was an intention to have a second team…just a money grab.
