As much as i miss watching my kid play, i do not miss this circus

I know Renaissance has a Monday evening tryout for 15U and may be looking for a couple of more players. For what it’s worth- the few moms I have spoken to who have met the coaches (I believe they are all either accepting or will accept their offer for that team) really liked the coaches- both the moms and the daughters. (They have their final tryouts for all ages on Monday evening)

Mojo sent that email re a third tryout for those older age groups but all offers have been sent for 16u. It seems like a HUGE money grab (something metro would do) for them to have sent that email last nigh at 5pm sharp.

I agree. Metro did that last year as well. As if there were not enough girls to choose from at the tryout Saturday and call bac /2nd tryout Sunday! Come on people-don’t give anymore of your money away

Yes, some much needed perspective. If mine does not get an offer, part of me will be glad not to have to be in this circus either. Everything happens for a reason, we’ll survive and move on to the next thing.

I heard Vienna Elite U12 have a couple open spots if anyone is interested, because my DD and her friend are going to another club.

Adding to the circus. Loudoun Elite announced 2 u15 teams- sent offers- then decided they didn’t have enough strong players to field a 2s team- then just announced a little bit ago they are putting the 2s team together after all. Free tryout tonight for u15 and u16. Monday- 11/6- hoops plus 7-9

Metro South FX U14 coach is still looking to fill his roster and I can speak from personal experience that he is AMAZING! Highly suggest going to play for him if you can and he offers you a spot.

A talented 16s could get an offer from Mojo’s 17s. They’ve done it before, as have many other clubs.

I have a U16 player who received this call back. She already missed tryouts for other clubs because of MOJO original tryout and a first call back. Are both 16s teams fully formed? If so, what's the point for this final callback? There is no cost to it. We might end up club less this year since we put all the eggs in the Mojo basket.

Also, we did attend Renaissance main tryout and did not hear back. Any point to reach out to Chris?

I don’t know if 16s are looking for anymore girls, but if she goes to the Mojo tryout she could be considered for the older age groups.

Most girls who play at McLean play club, too. Sometimes the older girls, who have already made Varsity after playing club for years, do stop playing club to focus on schoolwork after HS season ends. A lot of the girls played for ECP last year, and have switched to Mojo this year after they split from ECP and they folded. Some from Vienna Elite. I think BRYC. Not sure about others, although I’m sure that there are others.
TBH, unless she is very tall, it’ll be hard to make a team at MHS or any other HS in the area because club VB has just exploded and it gives girls 5-6 months of training.

Are you sure the tryout is also for U16? i checked their website/registration and it is only showing U15
