A question, we too will soon be faced with. We had 7 frozen excellent day 6 blasts left over after our first IVF and with our first FET, 2/2 took and I am about to have twins, in addition to a 3 year old. We now have 5 left and all are excellent according to our Dr. I don't think we can manage so many children so using them all is just not an option financially etc. I have not ruled it out but I just don't think that I am personally comfortable giving them up for adoption - I grapple with the question that if the couple succeed wih them, what if they don't treat the children as I would treat them myself. I don't know if I could stand it. Even though it would be a lovely thing to do. I remember being so delighted at the time with so many to freeze and now I am distressed about it. Myself and my husband have not discussed it yet since it is an emotive topic, especially while pregnant but soon we will have to really think about it. It is a really tough decision.
Unfortunately it is not a finger prick test, it is a tube of blood from a vein. I think it was a Quest off SG road that I have gone to - if you pick your time wisely, the waits are usually short.
I am not too sure if you want to go second hand but craiglist is great. I like high quality stuff but with one child already and twins on the way our budget just can't afford it right now. If you have the time to scope things out and wait, I recommend that option. We got a lovely bellini bed and dresser for my toddlers room on craiglist, like new and 1/3 the original prices. I also picked up a like new PALI crib, Peg perego chair and various other things there. I wait for like new things and of good brands that I know and trust. You do have to pounce on the good things though - they go quick.
Just another option.
Personally I do not like wine so it is not a temptation for me but I was telling my Dr the other day (I am 30 wks with twins) that I have been having lots of Braxton Hicks during the last week. She suggested a half a glass of wine to get rid of them when they start up!

So there is one obgyn's reccomendation!!

(I hope you don't get creamed for this post!)
Has anyone done this with their older children? All going well, I am going to be delivering twins at Sibley sometime in March and I see they offer this Sibling tour. My dd will be almost four and I am wondering if they are any good or a waste of time.
Thanks!
I love the pediatrician I use for my 3 year old but we have moved since and now need to find one closer since I have twins on the way. Any recommendations in the Bethesda/Rockville area? We are near the Democracy/Old Georgetown side of Bethesda. I hope to be delivering at Sibley so Sibley privalages would be nice but not a nessecity. Thanks for any ideas!
