Hi all! We had a great meet-up last Saturday at Sweetgreen and are planning to meet again this weekend to grab some coffee. I hope those who were interested but couldn't make it last time might be able to make it this time!

The details for this weekend are: Saturday, September 25, at 2:30 p.m. at Le Pain Quotidien in Bethesda (7140 Bethesda Ave, http://www.lepainquotidien.com/). Once again, I will try to grab an outside table if I can get one (and the weather is nice). If not, I will be inside.

Looking forward to meeting some more of you! I have also put together a separate listserv and will be emailing that group as well (and probably phasing out this posting after this week) - if you would like to be added, email me at: meri dot coleman at gmail dot com.

See you Saturday!
Hi! I know a lot of you can't make it tomorrow (I realize I picked Yom Kippur, which isn't great for those who observe), but I still plan to be there tomorrow and I hope some of you can make it!! A lot of people have emailed me about another date instead of tomorrow, so if this goes well, maybe we can set up something for next weekend as well (for those who can't make tomorrow).

The details again are: Sweetgreen, 4831 Bethesda Ave. - http://www.sweetgreen.com/ - at 12:00 noon tomorrow - September 18! (My original post wrote Saturday the 17th - whoops - baby brain...I edited the post though to the correct date....)

Anyway, at 34 weeks, I think it should be pretty easy to spot me! My name is Meri and hope to meet some of you tomorrow!!

ps - to the VA poster - of COURSE you are welcome!
I'm so sorry but I am actually now out of town for work - it was very last minute. Even at 34 weeks pregnant, the work never stops! Would anyone be available next Saturday instead? I was thinking that maybe we could meet at noon on Saturday, September 18, at Sweetgreen in downtown Bethesda? (This way anyone who wants lunch can grab it or others can get froyo...OK, and Georgetown cupcake across the street doesn't hurt either...)

I should be back in town by Tuesday and would be open to meeting after work as well one night if that is more convenient for people.

You can email me at meri dot coleman at gmail dot com. Sorry again for the last minute change - I really do look forward to getting to meet you!
Sure! I will post the meet-up information on this board this coming week and then also separately email anyone who leaves me their email address as well.

Then, once everyone has the information, you can delete or edit your post if you aren't comfortable having your email information online.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!
Great! I'm so glad to hear from both of you! I just realized I should actually modify my original posting to say that I'd love to meet up with expectant moms in Montgomery County (not just Bethesda)!

Maybe I'll let this posting go for another week and see if anyone else is interested in meeting up with us and then we'll try and organize something for next weekend. How does that sound?

Looking forward to meeting you!

I can't chime in on paint, because I painted yellow, but I did buy decals from www.whatisblik.com and LOVE them. They were easy to install and have a mod, deco look - so it depends what look you're going for. But for me, it was great. (They also have certain decals which are geared for newborns - in black and white - which are the first colors a baby can focus on).
Hi! I am expecting my first child at the end of October and am relatively new to Bethesda. Since I don't have any parent friends in the area, I was hoping to find and meet some other moms-to-be in Bethesda since I figure it would be nice once the babies arrive to have a built-in play group (and hopefully some women to talk - or vent - with!).

I am also new to this site; I did a search but it didn't bring up anything. So I apologize if I'm duplicating a request that is already out there. (The last post I found on a Bethesda expectant mom meet up was July 2009...so I think I missed that boat!).

Let me know if anyone out there is interested (or if there is a group already out there that I can join!)! Thanks!
